Dan Jurafsky is professor and chair of linguistics and professor of computer science. His research focuses on computational linguistics and its application to the social and behavioral sciences, as well as the linguistics of Chinese and the linguistics of food. Dan is a 2002 MacArthur Fellowship recipient. He is the author of "The Language of Food: A Linguist Reads the Menu" (W.W. Norton)
